Happy New Year to everybody. I think this will be my last newsletter article for a while.
Just wanted to let everyone know about the final claim from Towle Realty and Yesterday's Closet. I have received the settlement papers and we were very lucky. Our insurance settled with Towle Realty in the amount of $12,907.75 and with Yesterday's Closet in the amount of $15,550.00. Our deductibles for these claims were $250 each. Lucky I guess, that for $500 our insurance settled out $28,000 plus in damages. Now we can put this mess away.
I want to remind everyone of the Passing of the Gavel Banquet on Saturday, January 11. Social will start at 6:00 p.m. and dinner (2 meat buffet) will be served at 7:00 p.m. If you have not called me yet with an RSVP and you plan to attend, please let me know ASAP so I can give The Elk's a number by the 3rd of January. The cost will be $7.95 (plus tax and tip) per person and hopefully the Chapter will be able to pay for the member's meals as well as the invited guests meals, but no promises yet.
Lastly, I want to congratulate next year's officers and wish them the best of luck. They are not doing this just for themselves; they are doing this for the community. We need to support them and help them out as much as possible.
Thank you for allowing me to have been your President this last year. There were some rough times (as there always seems to be). But we all pulled together when we needed to and made things work. Thanks for all your help, I couldn't have done it without your support.
